| What is DatingClix? |
| In its simplist form, DatingClix is the name given to a setup or group of scripts, that in the end yeild a feature-rich dating site. Unfortunately however, while it may seem as if creating a dating site requires simply copying and pasting the corresponding files, there is a lot more that goes into the development of dating sites with the DatingClix codebase. A lot of work goes into customizing the output of the varying features, allowing for almost any result and allowing it to be integrated with many other web systems. The majority of DatingClix's strength lies in its flexibility and stability; whether you want to setup a "swinger" site, or a "mainstream" dating site, anything is possible. Each copy of DatingClix is custom built and designed to fit the needs/desires of each partner. |
| Interested in whether or not DatingClix is the right solution? |
| Before judging whether or not this is the right idea for you and/or your company/website, please examine the steps below. They will explain the basic process of creating a customized dating site. |
| Steps: |
1. Choose a target audience.
One of the most difficult factors is choosing a target audience. Are you interested in creating a site geared towards the "swinger" community? Perhaps you are interested in creating another niche dating site, and then again, you could always create a very general dating website that covers all. Now while this is sometimes hard, if you own or operate a "blog" type site, or already have an established community of members, then this would be a quick and easy step. |
2. Setup a layout
So you have a target market setup, next goal is to get a layout/design for the site done. More often then not we suggest that there be a main page, a login page, and a signup page on the outside. The members area will then consist of a modular layout where the scripts features/statistics will reside. |
3. Discussion of features and what you want to offer
More often then not its the individual features and concepts that can make your dating site stand out from the rest. If you have a great idea, let us know, and we will tell you what and how it can be done! |
4. Database design
After a layout/design is setup and all features are laid out on paper, we begin work setting up a database that will accomplish everything that you have suggested (along with providing room for future development). |
5. Initial programming and design setup
At this stage we often start to setup the site. Initial templates are created from the design(s), and the actual scripts themselves are created/setup. Our goal at this stage is to get the layout online and ready for development, as well as setting up the login area of the site. |
6. Feature Development
As of now, the designs are done or in the process of being completed, the database is designed, and we can now login, all that is left is piecing together the various sections of the site. |
7. Billing
One of the most complicated areas of the site includes the development of the billing software and support levels. Permission levels need to be established, items for paying members needs to be setup (i.e. each "paid only" feature should restrict access and push people to the upgrade page!), and the merchant/billing accounts need to be setup (along with prices/etc.). |
8. Project Review
Hopefully at this point, after the majority of the work is complete, we begin bug testing, text changes for the site, and any other small changes that need to be done. |
9. Release and Watch
The site is hopefully complete and working. Now all we do is watch how the members react. Do they want different features? Perhaps they want a button added in a certain spot, maybe the help section of the site leaves somethings unclear (and as a result need reworded/setup). |
10. When the time comes, turn on billing
This is the stage most people can't wait for! It is when the money starts to come in. We keep a close watch on the billing system (to ensure billing errors do not exist, and when small bugs are found, they must get corrected as fast as possible). |
